As a serving officer for fourteen years, Toby has seen first hand how effective Crimestoppers is as a mechanism to make communities safer, giving vulnerable people access to speak out against criminals without fear of reprisal.

He, like Darren Smith, has also experienced personally how crime can have unbelievably widespread and devastating effects, after the tragic and unnecessary stabbing of friend and police colleague Mel Ward. Toby is crossing the line for Crimestoppers alongside Darren, raising awareness of the impact Crimestoppers can have on solving crimes while raising valuable funds in memory of Mel.
