Youth in the Community
What do Crimestoppers contribute to the community?
Crimestoppers operates throughout 39 regional volunteer groups throughout the UK. These groups spend their time promoting Crimestoppers and making more people aware of the anonymous 0800 555 111 phone number in case they ever feel they need to use it.
Local Crimestoppers' initiatives focus on topics related to crime that affect the local community. Check out regional Crimestoppers and Youth in the Regions to see whats happening near you.
Our Central Office helps to co-ordinate all this activity.
How could Crimestoppers help in my community?
You may want to tackle specific issues in your school or youth group with our help. Why not start your own awareness campaign in your school/youth group?
By contacting the Youth Projects Team we can make sure you receive free posters and other promotional material to put up in your school to help spread the word.
If you want to become even more involved we can put you in touch with your local Crimestoppers representative and you can make a difference in your local community, by helping to come up with new ideas for campaigns in your area.
Community Youth Football Team
Crimestoppers have teamed up with Bromley-by-Bow Football Club in Tower Hamlets as their official sponsor of the Under 16 team.
This is a very exciting initiative as we look to build up strong links within Tower Hamlets. History Bromley-by-Bow FC was formed in 1989.
The main objective of the team is to use football as a tool to divert young people from criminal activity and anti-social behaviour.
Aim
They aim to promote communication skills, team work and encourage individuals to express themselves in a positive way. Other issues are also addressed relating to health by educating the young people about the importance of exercise, healthy diet and the dangers of drugs and alcohol abuse.
Bromley by Bow F.C train once a week and play their matches on Sundays at Hackney Marshes.
