Dave Cording LLB - Deputy Chief Executive

Dave joined Crimestoppers in February 2004 as Director of Operations. In April 2011 he became the charity’s Deputy Chief Executive.

Dave Cording - Crimestoppers' Deputy Chief ExecutiveOn a day to day basis Dave takes responsibility for the smooth running of Crimestoppers by managing decisions that have a significant impact on the logistical aspects of the charity. He ensures that the charity is meeting performance objectives and standards.

Dave acts as mediator for the charity's Executive Group to ensure the best outcome for the charity is achieved. He also leads on resolving problems both internally and externally where they are likely to impact on the charity’s reputation.

Before joining Crimestoppers, Dave was a serving member in the police service. His career started in Nottingham, where he worked across a range of specialisations including traffic, the Vice Squad, and CID.

He took this valuable experience with him to Surrey Police, in 1985 when he transferred there as a Sergeant working in number of diverse positions, from leading the Regional Police Dog Training School to building the force's incident handing system . He was later promoted to Divisional Commander for East Surrey as Chief Superintendent.

In his last year following an outstanding HMIC Inspection, he was asked to set up a new Partnership Development Command. Dave received a Chief Constables recognition award for his Divisional Command work.  

In his spare time he managed to complete a law degree at Ealing College in 1988.
