Full public enquiry into child abuse urged

Senator Frank Walker will ask the Council of Ministers for a full public enquiry into every aspect of the child abuse allegations at the former children's home on Jersey.

Senator Walker feels that a full public enquiry will be the only way to ensure complete transparency in the investigation.

Detectives and forensic teams are continuing to work at Haut de la Garenne. Tests found on remains at the site were inconclusive, although were placed no earlier than 1920.
