Volunteer – Cambridgeshire Crimestoppers

We rely on a network of volunteers to help us with our work and are constantly looking for volunteer committee members.

Each and every one is a vital link with the community. Without our volunteers Crimestoppers simply could not continue to serve society.

Volunteer committee members are involved at every level in promoting Cambridgeshire Crimestoppers, fundraising and helping out in all aspects of our valuable work. As a volunteer, your role will be worthy but never dull. In fact, it's sociable, stimulating and truly rewarding with real potential for self-development.

It’s a very personal decision choosing to volunteer your time and one which, for the majority of people, is not done lightly. In fact most people choose to volunteer for something they feel passionate about. Crime is an issue that personally affects many of us and the communities in which we live.

Given the chance to do something you feel passionate about, most people develop a new sense of belonging and confidence in their community. Giving time also enables you to try new things, visit new places and learn new skills. As a Crimestoppers volunteer, you could:

1.    Build confidence and self-esteem
2.    Make a difference
3.    Encourage diversity
4.    Make new friends
5.    Find new opportunities and challenges
6.    Have fun and new adventures
7.    Improve career opportunities and employability
8.    Be part of your community
9.    Gain recognition in your specialist field
10.    Be of monetary value to a charity
