Midsummer charity night

[June 2008]

Hertfordshire Crimestoppers are pleased to report that our joint Midsummer Charity Night on Saturday 21st June 2008 with Iain Rennie Hospice at home raised a total of £2,000. This sum will be shared equally between the two charities.

Past event details:

As part of the 20th anniversary celebrations, and following their recent successful quiz night and online auction, Hertfordshire Crimestoppers have joined forces with Iain Rennie Hospice at Home to hold a Midsummer Charity Night to benefit both charities.

Iain Rennie Hospice at Home provides palliative care to terminally ill patients in their own homes in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Hertfordshire Board Chairman Peter Camilletti said: "One of our board members fundraises for this very worthwhile charity. He suggested that we could work together to benefit the wider community. We thought it was a great idea. Everybody benefits.

The event will be held on Saturday 21st June at the Metropolitan Police Sports Club at Bushey. There will be a hot and cold buffet and music by the '60s and 70s All Stars', who are all members of the former chart-topping bands The Dreamers, Paper Lace and The Troggs. 'It Takes Two' are a singing dup who will support the main act. There will also be an auction, a raffle and caricature artist, Rick Coleman.

Tickets cost £25 and all profits will be divided equally between the two charities.
