The animated ad, which was aired on ITVs Borders and Granada networks, enlists the famous fictional character - 'The Invisible Man'. The Invisible Man is the hero who reports a theft from a car using the anonymous Crimestoppers phone number. The message that the Crimestoppers phone number, 0800 555 111, is anonymous, was a big focus of the advert.
As a result of the advert, there was a 24% increase in calls to Crimestoppers about crimes and criminals in Greater Manchester.
