Lancashire Crimestoppers is looking for people in the region to join its volunteer Board.
The charity, devoted to helping to solve crimes, is aiming to recruit local volunteers to help raise its profile throughout the county.
The Chair of Lancashire Crimestoppers, Mrs Gail Porter, wants to hear from people who could help publicise the work of Crimestoppers in their communities by attending events on their behalf.
The charity is also looking for people who have fundraising or marketing experience.
Mrs Porter said: "The success of Lancashire Crimestoppers is due to a number of volunteers who do a wonderful job in promoting the Crimestoppers brand throughout Lancashire.
"We want to build on that success and would welcome more volunteers particularly in the north of the county." We would like to hear from anyone who feels they may have some skills they could offer.
"Roles could be anything from representing Crimestoppers at major events, visiting schools and business organisations to talk about Crimestoppers or simply placing posters and information cards throughout your community.
"Any help would be greatly appreciated. You really could make a difference.''
Ch Supt Gary Stephenson, the head of the Northern Division, said: "We work very closely in partnership with Crimestoppers and we fully support the work they do in our communities.''
