Pregnant wife sees husband killed in bed

[7th February 2008]

A Belfast man was murdered in his bed by a gang who burst into his home, wielding machetes and hatchets.

The victim's pregnant wife suffered with an injury in the back of her head and back and she gave birth hours after her husband was killed. Their two other children were also in the house.

The attack happened at 2am on Thursday 31st January. A large dark car was seen leaving the area at around that time.
