NorDan tee up for our golf tournament
[16 May 2008]
This year we were delighted to have NorDan as the principal sponsor of the annual Scotland Crimestoppers Golf Challenge, which took place at Peterculter Golf Club, Aberdeen on Friday 16th May.
Event organisers, Golfers Scotland, once again managed the event superbly, commencing with the teams being briefed on the rules for the day, the option to buy ‘Mulligans'(all proceeds going directly to Crimestoppers) and the variety of fun on course competitions and prizes, the most sought after hole-in-one prize being the Freelander.
Before taking up their tee time in the Stableford competition, the players all picked up a ‘goody bag' with some extras kindly provided by NorDan.
At the halfway house light refreshments, tea, coffee and the odd beer were served to players, along with lots of chocolate to warm them up as the beautiful blue sky that had set the day of so well had turned to dark clouds, but thankfully no rain.
Back at the Clubhouse, the teams were served a two-course bar supper and then came the announcement they had all been waiting for. To our delight, the team entered to play on behalf of Crimestoppers were the winners, with one of their players scooping the magnificent Crimestoppers Golf Trophy as individual winner.
Team runners up were Upfront Security and third place was taken by the team from The Marcliffe Hotel.
With over £5,000 of sponsorship being raised, the event was hailed a huge success by all involved. Get practising for 2009!
