Scotland Crimestoppers volunteer receives OBE
Scotland Crimestoppers volunteer Ian Reid has also been awarded an OBE in the New Year Honours list [11 January 2012].
Ian received the award for Services to Young People in Scotland.
He is the Founder and Chief Executive of Scottish Sports Futures, which delivers “education through sport” programmes to over 30,000 young people per annum in disadvantaged communities across Scotland.
National Manager for Scotland Crimestoppers, Kate Jackson said: "Ian is one of the Scotland committee’s longest serving volunteers and has spent several years promoting Crimestoppers to young people throughout the country, as well as having a hand in many major campaigns."
Crimestoppers Scotland Chairman, Bill Matthews and Crimestoppers Administrator for Scotland, Amanda West also passed on sincere congratulations to Ian for his achievement.
