Annual report 07-08
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Board was established in 2005 and - when call handling was taken over by the 24/7 Bureau in April 06 - was able to produce its first comprehensive annual report for the year to March 2007.
This second report makes it possible to draw comparisons between the two years and measure results. The key figures are that actionable calls are up by 20% to 1,777 and that arrests resulting from these calls have increased by 29% to 240. The financial figures show that this was accomplished within the year's budget without accessing the board's reserves.
In this report those events which made the phone ring are itemised as are the local councils where call numbers have improved and those that have decreased.
