Kent Police support new Kent Crimestoppers campaign 'Too much Bling? Give us a Ring!'
A new Kent Crimestoppers campaign targeting those living off the proceeds of crime was launched at Kent Police Headquarters in Maidstone on 19th May 2008.

Kent Police Chief Constable, Michael Fuller, commented: "I was delighted to have assisted in launching this campaign on the same day as the start of National Tackling Drugs Week.
"This campaign is an excellent example of the effective partnership between Kent Police and Kent Crimestoppers. Working together in this way helps us carry the fight against crime into the heart of our communities.
"The “Too much bling? Give us a ring!” campaign targets those who live far in excess of their income through the proceeds of crime. These individuals are responsible for undermining communities and destroying lives.
"We are determined to show these criminals who think they are untouchable that they are totally wrong."
Kent Police have also placed financial investigators on each of the six police districts in Kent. The police are determined to remove financial assets from criminal networks and successes are already being chalked up. For example, £900,000 cash has been seized from criminals in North Kent in the last 12 months alone. To build on this success, information and intelligence is needed from the public.
