Bowling competition in Guildford
Surrey Crimestoppers launch a Bowling Competition at Guildford Spectrum
As part of a national initiative Surrey Crimestoppers are using the last three digits of the anonymous telephone number, 0800 555 111, to launch a ‘111 Bowling Competition' throughout the month of July in Guildford.
Crimestoppers has teamed up with the Tenpin Bowling Proprietors Association (TBPA) to run the family-friendly promotion and help raise awareness of the telephone number that people can call anonymously with information about crimes.

Throughout the month of July bowlers at the Spectrum in Guildford who score a 111 will win a free game and automatically be entered into the grand final on 21st August 2008. Through a fun family activity like bowling, Surrey Crimestoppers hopes to raise awareness of the charity amongst families and young people.
Kevin Morris, Chairman of Surrey Crimestoppers said: “We are delighted to be working with the TBPA on this competition which will offer the charity a valuable platform on which to promote its anonymous 0800 555 111 number to a wide audience.”
A Guildford Spectrum spokesperson said "The Spectrum is delighted to team up with Crimestoppers to help promote the fight against crime. Bowlers entering this competition will have a great deal of fun trying to score 111".
The 111 bowling competition is open to all bowlers of any age.
