Volunteering in Surrey
Would you be able to help us?
We are always eager to welcome new volunteers to Surrey Crimestoppers, to help promote the Crimestoppers message and number, to raise awareness and to raise funds to finance our campaigns and projects.
If you have any spare time or a particular skill that we could use, then call or email us for an informal chat.
Volunteer Board Member
If you then want to become a Board member we will need to meet you and discuss how to proceed. A more formal interview will take place with our Chairman, Kevin Morris. Board members are subject to CRB checks and are asked to sign a Volunteer Declaration stating they will act in a responsible manner etc and attend Board meetings held quarterly at various locations across Surrey. (Volunteers on a Board have no legal status within the Crimestoppers Charity and should not be confused with the Charities Trustees).

Alternatively
In Surrey, we are looking for volunteer Borough Champions to promote our Borough Awareness Campaigns. A Borough Champion will ideally live in the Borough and be active in their community. Call or email us and we can send you an outline of the key roles we envisage a Borough Champion will fulfil. We would expect, however, that each Borough Champion will bring their own experience and personality to the role.

Finally
Maybe you just have an idea or a good contact that could help us. We are always, for example, looking for free venues to hold our meetings and events, free publicity, free printing and so on.
For more information about volunteering for or helping with our activities please fill out our Volunteer Enquiry Form.
Call 0800 555 111 if you want to give information about crime and criminals anonymously.
Case study
