• Crimestoppers and Brighton University are full of beans about McDonald’s

  Sussex Crimestoppers has joined up with McDonald's Restaurants and Brighton University to provide students across the city with a convenient way to remember that all important Crimestoppers number – 0800 555 111.

• Arson is a crime

  Sussex Fire and Rescue Services and Sussex Crimestoppers launched a new campaign, 'Arson is a Crime', in Lewes on 12th March. We're appealing to anyone who has information about people who are deliberately starting fires, to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

• Bogus callers

  Sussex Crimestoppers are working with Sussex Police Major Crime Branch initiative to gather intelligence about the criminals who prey on older people and those most vulnerable, often as bogus callers.

• Exploding parking meters

  Sussex Crimestoppers was responsible for drawing together a range of partners to tackle the recent series of damage to parking meters in Lewes amounting to £350,000.

• Human trafficking

  Sussex Crimestoppers are working with Sussex Police Major Crime Branch to tackle people trafficking.

• Working in communities

  Following a plea from the police to do something about low level nuisance, anti-social behaviour and crime, Sussex Crimestoppers developed the concept of Neighbourhood Signs to support tackling local crime and disorder hotspots.

• Working with young people

  Getting messages across to young people about drugs, alcohol, other crime and anti-social behaviour, has always tested the best of agencies.
