Following a plea from the police to do something about low level nuisance, anti-social behaviour and crime, Sussex Crimestoppers developed the concept of Neighbourhood Signs to support tackling local crime and disorder hotspots.
While not in use everywhere, these have proved to be a useful tool in the fight against crime. Brighton has seen its actionable calls to Crimestoppers double since they were introduced.
