Sat Nav Theft

Do you worry about vehicle crime? Due to the sell-on value, theft of sat-nav equipment is on the increase, so we have joined forces with the DVLA to launch a campaign to target and reduce vehicle crime.

The campaign raises awareness of sat-nav theft and gives information and advice to help motorists avoid becoming victims. The information is appearing in animated format on DVLAs plasma TV information screens in all of its 40 local offices across the UK, and will be viewed by over 175,000 DVLA customers each month. The DVLA is also printing 50,000 information leaflets about sat-nav theft.

DVLA spokesperson John Moore said: "We are delighted to work in such a positive way with Crimestoppers in helping target and reduce vehicle related crime." Our advice is to take the sat-nav with you when you leave your vehicle and make sure there are no sucker-marks left behind on the windscreen.
