West Country Crimestoppers tackles burglary
West Country Crimestoppers is working with Avon and Somerset Police on a new campaign targeting burglary. [February 2010]
The campaign, focusing on four burglary hot spots in Bristol, is a long term initiative lasting from 12 to 18 months. It is appealing for information about who is committing local burglaries and who is selling on the stolen goods.
The first stage of the campaign involved Crimestoppers leaflets being distributed to 1,000 homes across Bristol. The leaflets explained Crimestoppers' role in law enforcement - as an independent charity that takes anonymous information about crime - and contained an insert about rewards (right).
Additional posters and leaflets are going to be distributed over the course of the campaign.
If you have any information about burglary, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or by filling out our secure information giving form.
