See it ….Report it … Stop it

West Country Crimestoppers is supporting Bristol City Council's ‘Operation Slam' campaign against fly-tipping in the city.

The council's streetscene enforcement team is targeting fly-tipping hotspot areas, carrying out surveillance at different times of the night and day during the campaign.

West Country Crimestoppers is working in partnership with Bristol City Council and 107.2 Bristol's STAR Radio to encourage local residents to report the crime and who is committing it.

Anyone can give information anonymously about who is fly-tipping in their neighbourhood by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by filling our our anonymous online Giving Information Form..

Aled Williams, streetscene enforcement manager, said: “We are asking for Bristol's help to stop this antisocial activity. What we need to know is when and where the fly-tipping occurs, the offender's vehicle registration number, and if possible the type of rubbish being dumped - the more information the better.”

During the campaign, STAR Radio is running adverts to encourage people to report information about the criminals to Crimestoppers.

For more details, see our Campaigns section. Please note: if you wish to report fly-tipped rubbish that needs to be cleared away, please call Bristol City Council's hotline on 0117 922 3838.
