Campaigns

Staffordshire Crimestoppers runs campaigns in the region, to raise awareness about crimes that might be affecting your communities.

We work with children in a local school to teach them about Crimestoppers. We also ran a 'create a calling card' competition with them, to help them remember how important the Crimestoppers anonymous phone number, 0800 555 111, is.

Create a calling card

Last year, seven pupils from Chasetown Specialist Sports College and Chase Terrace Technical College were asked to come up with exciting designs to promote the anonymous Crimestoppers telephone number, 0800 555 111, to young people in Staffordshire.

Staffordshire Crimestoppers - Eloise O'Oylay competition winnerEloise D'Oylay, a Year 7 pupil from Chasetown Specialist Sports College, was named the overall winner of the calling card competition. She won £100 Argos vouchers, and the chance to see her design printed on promotional postcards that will be distributed across the whole of Staffordshire.

Jordan Bettson and Bethany Burns, pupils from Chase Terrace Technical College, were joint runners up, both winning £50 Argos vouchers.

Tom Whalley, Crimestoppers Coordinator, said: "We thought Eloise's card was really eye-catching and chose it because of the catchy 'Spot Crime, Stop Crime' tagline and the clever use of a spray can and graffiti within the design."

Ann Harvey, Burntwood Warden Coordinator, added: "We hope the cards, which will be placed strategically around the county, prove a useful resource and that people of every age remember how important it is to report any crime they may have seen."

Staffordshire Crimestoppers - 'Create a calling card' entrantsSo the message is clear - if you spot a crime, help to stop it by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
