How you can help

Crimestoppers is a charity, so we rely on volunteers to help us promote our anonymous telephone number, 0800 555 111. We also need volunteers to help us organise campaigns in Staffordshire.

In the past, we ran a campaign to tackle arsonists, together with Lichfield Firefighters. About this campaign, Paul Longmore, Area Commander for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service in Lichfield and Burntwood said: "The largest single cause of fire in the UK is arson which can result in someone's death or serious injury, environmental damage and financial loss. Although we only have an average of 20 incidents a month across the Lichfield District, compared to nearly 700 a month across Staffordshire, this is 20 incidents too many."

We've also held an anti-violence campaign, to blitz late night troublemakers in towns around Staffordshire. At the time, we did a survey of students and found that they were willing to tolerate late-night trouble, as long as it remained at a low level. However, crime and violence should not be tolerated, so we encouraged more people to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, to give information about the troublemakers.

We want to organise more campaigns such as these, so that we can help make your communities in Staffordhire safer. However, we need your help to do so. If you're interested in volunteering for Staffordhire Crimestoppers please fill out our Volunteer Enquiry Form.
