Safety concerns on Shannon Matthews' estate
[11th April 2008]
Threats have allegedly been made to residents living on the Dewsbury Moor estate, saying that they are 'going to get it' after the police have gone.
Shannon Matthews' mother, Karen Matthews, remains in custody, facing charges of child neglect and perverting the course of justice. Her partner's sisters and mother are also being questioned by the police for their involvement in Shannon's disappearance.
Local residents are concerned that an increasing number of people from the estate are being arrested and about the threats of vigilante action against them.
