Attempted robbery at Shirley taxi office

Detectives are seeking two men who confronted dispatchers at a Shirley taxi office in Birmingham in the early hours of Sunday morning (15 April)

The men burst into Able Radio Cars on Newborough Road just after 3am demanding staff hand over takings. When workers were unable to open the safe the offenders fled empty-handed towards Baldwins Lane. The men were wearing dark hoodies. One was described as tall and skinny, the other as short and stocky.

Inspector Stuart Bell of Force CID, said: "This was an unpleasant incident and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen either of these men."
