Police warn of debt agency fraud

A UK debt collection agency has been targeting people in Guernsey, police warn.

First Direct Logistics Limited has been sending cards to islanders through the Guernsey Post saying a parcel is waiting to be collected. People who call the number on the card are asked for their personal details, which the company uses to recover their own outstanding debts. There is no parcel to be collected.
