Six bailed in severed hand murder

Six men arrested in connection with the murder of Geeta Aulakh have been released on bail. [19 November 2009]

Ms Aulakh's body was found on Monday in west London. A post-mortem revealed she died of a head injury. Her hand had also been removed from her body. Police are investigating whether she was attacked in Braund Avenue, Greenford, where she was found, or whether she was dumped there with her injuries.

Husband arrested

Ms Aulakh, who worked as a receptionist for Sunrise Radio, was on her way to collect her children from a child-minders when the attack occurred.

One of the men arrested in connection with the murder is Ms Aulakh's husband, from who she was separated. All six men are to return to court in mid-January 2010.
