Boys arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty

Two boys, 11 and 13-years-old, were arrested after a dog was found dead on a railway line.

The dog is believed to have been hit by a train after being tied to a piece of track near Corby in Northamptonshire. The dog, which is also thought to have been burnt, was found on 3 June and the boys were arrested on 5 June. Both boys have been bailed and British Transport Police along with Northamptonshire Police are still investigating.
