Coroner ruling: Shed prisoner was unlawfully killed

[28th February 2008]

A coroner has ruled that Kevin Davies, 29, who was imprisoned in a garden shed in Gloucester for four months, was unlawfully killed.

The three individuals who kept him captive were originally cleared of murder because police couldn't rule out death from epilepsy.

However, the coroner has now ruled that Mr Davies was beaten regularly and fed scraps, which eventually led to his death after four months.
