Jersey home: Digging commences and third room found

As well as digging more suspicious areas for child remains in the Jersey children's home, police are also investigating a third cellar, following a tip-off from an ex-staff member there.

More than 160 people have now called police to say that they were abused at the children's home at Haut de la Garenne. Seventy of these callers mentioned a cellar.

A forensic archaeologist is due to search the first cellar after it was made safe by structural engineers yesterday.
