Young boy stabbed in face while protecting mother

A nine-year old boy was stabbed in the face while trying to protect his mother from a knife attack.

The boy's mother was stabbed eight times in her head and body with a kitchen knife after an offshore worker from Fife broke into their home.

Sentencing of Hugh Clark, aged 35, has been deferred.
