Arrests made over alleged terrorist funds
Four men have been arrested in mid and south Wales after allegedly being in possession of funds which were due to be used to fund terrorist activity [9 February 2012].
The men were arrested during raids in Pontardawe, Powys and Swansea by the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command.
Two of the men, aged 45 and 34, were arrested at the same property during the raids that took place on 2-3 February. All four were escorted to a police station in central London.
Also arrested were a 37-year-old man and a 38-year-old man in Powys and Swansea respectively.
A Metropolitan Polioce spokesman said that the four had been arrested under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act. The men have now been bailed until May following the arrests.
