Woman killed by car thief

A thief who tried to steal a sports car has run over and killed the owner as she tried to stop him. [15 January 2010]

The victim saw a man in the driver's seat of her MG and was thrown onto the bonnet when she tried to stop him getting away. The incident happened in Prestt Grove, Worsley Mesnes on Thursday. The woman, believed to be 42, suffered head injuries from the incident and died in hospital.

Stolen MG

Officers are asking for anyone who has seen the yellow MG, registration number AK53 WNW, to come forward.
