Boy, 12, arrested over shooting
A 12-year-old boy has been arrested by police investigating a shooting in High Wycombe on Saturday evening [9 January 2012]
Twelve people were arrested after a man was shot in the lower leg at a bus stop in London Road, Wycombe Marsh, High Wycombe.
He is currently in hospital in a stable condition a spokesman said.
Police suspect the shooting is linked to an incident reported earlier in the Micklefield area.
The 12 arrested are all male and aged between 12 and 18. Eight, including the 12-year-old boy, have been released on bail and four are being held in police custody on suspicion of violent disorder.
Ch Insp Colin Seaton, of Thames Valley Police, said: "The incident in which the victim was shot in the leg may be linked to disorder earlier that afternoon.
"We are committed to bringing those responsible to justice and it is still the belief that this was a targeted attack.
"I am appealing to anyone who witnessed disorder at the junction of Gayhurst Road and Baring Road to come forward, as they may hold information vital to our inquiry."
