Reward increased for tortured woman

[11 July 2008]

A reward to catch the killer of 77-year old Georgina Edmonds has increased to £20,000 six months after her death.

Her body was found at her home in Brambridge, Hampshire, on 11 January. Post-mortem tests revealed that she had head injuries and had been tortured with a knife. Detectives still want to trace a man seen on CCTV wearing a fluorescent jacket, trying to get money out at a Tesco Express with Mrs Edmonds' cash card on the day she died. A number of items taken from her home are still yet to be recovered, including a handbag, a silver credit card holder, her cash card, cheque book and a brightly coloured key fob. The reward has risen from £5,000 since the beginning of the investigation.
