• Siblings killed in Helensburgh flat fire

  A 21-year-old man and his 8-year-old sister have died in what police have described as a 'deliberate' flat fire in Helensburgh, Scotland. Thomas and Bridget Sharkey were killed in the fire while parents Angela and Thomas Sharkey remain in hospital.

• Jail sentences for family that defrauded elderly

  Five members of one family were jailed at Teesside Crown Court on Friday after they defrauded vulnerable, elderly people out of hundreds of thousands pounds. The Price family, who lived on a caravan site in Brigg, North Lincolnshire, carried out the fraud for four and a half years between 2006 and 2010.
