Appeal over aggravated burglary

Warwickshire Police has launched an investigation after an aggravated burglary was committed in Keresley End on Thursday. [9 July 2012]

Three men wearing balaclavas and carrying what was thought to be a small handgun broke into a house on Hope Close at around 1am.

The residents locked themselves in an upstairs bedroom and the men fled the house when they failed to gain access to the bedroom. No-one was injured in the ordeal.

Police have launched an investigation and are keen to speak to anyone who might have witnessed the incident.

The trio are thought to have made their escape from Hope Close along Charity Road, Shaftsbury Avenue and Jackson Close where they may have fled in a vehicle.

Officers are examining CCTV footage and are carrying out door-to-door enquiries.
