Drunk children escaping punishment

It was claimed yesterday that drunk and disorderly children are escaping punishment. [13 June 2008]

Figures showed that prosecutions have dropped more than 70 per cent in some areas since 1997. David Ruffley, shadow police reform minister, said that binge-drinking children are being let off with 'a slap on the wrist'.
