Four in court over Rhys shooting

Four people will appear in court today facing charges connected to the murder of schoolboy Rhys Jones.

Rhys, 11, was shot dead in August last year as he walked home from football training.

The four are expected to make their first appearance at Liverpool Crown Court at 10am. Married couple Francis Yates, 48, and Marie Yates, 50, from Croxteth, Liverpool , are charged with perverting the course of justice along with Janette Mercer, 48, and James Hughes, 22, also of Croxteth.
