Mother forgives killers of her son

The mother of schoolboy Michael Dosunmu, shot dead in a mistaken identity murder, forgave his killers.

Shakira Dosunmu is a devout Christian who doesn't hold any grudges, saying “one day they will come to their senses.” Killers Mohammed Sannoh and Abdi Omar Noor were convicted of killing her son Michael at the Old Bailey on Tuesday. Sannoh and Noor had meant to kill Michael's brother, 26-year-old Hakeem Dosunmu, over a gang dispute, but they gunned down the 15-year-old as he slept instead. Sannoh and Noor showed no remorse in court, despite Mrs Dosunmu's forgiveness. The men will be sentenced today.
