Arrests made after football disorder
Twenty six people have been arrested after trouble broke out on 19 May following a match between Huddersfield Town and Sheffield United [21 June 2012].
West Yorkshire Police said that during the disorder a number of gangs chased each other through the centre of Huddersfield and to the train station.
Last week CCTV images were released of those who were wanted in connection with the disorder following the Championship Play-Off Final.
The arrests were made in Wakefield, Huddersfield, Leeds, Selby and Bradford and those arrested were aged between 15 and 47.
Threre are also additional suspects of whom CCTV images have been released.
Acting Detective Sgt Nick Doyle, of Huddersfield CID, said: "Huddersfield CID want to send out a clear message to so called fans who want to cause trouble at any future encounters that we will not tolerate it."
