Man found unconscious in Bideford street
Police were called to an incident in Silver Street in Bideford at around 8.30pm on Tuesday 12 June 2012, where a man in his early forties was treated by ambulance staff after being found unconscious in the street. [15 June 2012]
He was taken to North Devon District Hospital where his condition was thought to be serious – he is now in a stable, but sedated condition and he remains in hospital. Two men aged 44 and 33 have been arrested by police in connection with this incident and have been bailed until 18 July 2012 while detectives make further enquiries. It is thought the man taken to hospital had suffered a medical condition that was possibly drugs related. A police investigation has begun into the circumstances of this incident. A police spokesperson said: “We are keeping an open mind as to what has happened.
