Probe after man shot in leg

A young man was shot in the leg in Belfast in what police have called "a paramilitary-style shooting". [22 June 2012]

Officers were called to the Downsine Walk area of Ballymurphy in the west of the city at 10.20pm yesterday, when they found a 21-year-old man who had been shot in the leg.

He was later taken to hospital for treatment.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about the shooting to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
