19th victim of London knife crime

David Idowu, 14, has died three weeks after being stabbed in the chest and stomach in south-east London.

He was attacked in Borough on 19 June. A 16-year old from Catford, south-east London, appeared in Camberwell Youth Court last month charged with attempted murder. David is the 19th London teenager to die as a result of violent crime this year.

David Anthony Stuart was arrested in Accrington in July 2004 in possession of 20,000 ecstasy tablets and subsequently failed to attend his trial at Preston Crown Court in June 2005.
