Children were pushed off balcony
[27th March 2008]
An inquest has ruled that six-year old Liam Hogan was unlawfully killed when he was pushed off a Greek balcony by his father.
An eyewitnesses has said that she saw John Hogan push his children off a balcony in Crete, before jumping himself.
A court in Greece originally heard that John Hogan jumped off the balcony with his two children.
Witness Sarah Davidson said she heard a terrible argument from the hotel room, then a man pushed the children off. Her husband, however, said that he saw the children fall and that the man reached out to try and catch them. The momentum seemed to take him over the balcony too.
Following the ruling by the inquest in Bristol, the children's mother Natasha Visser is urging British authorities to prosecute John Hogan.
