Man questioned over Heathrow alert

A man is being questioned after he ran towards the runway in Heathrow airport yesterday wearing a rucksack.

The intruder was seen removing his shows before he climbed over the airport's perimieter fence.

The man was arrested on the runway and a controlled explosion was carried out on his bag, although nothing suspicious was found.

This is the second security breach at Heathrow in the space of a few weeks. Greenpeace protesters walked onto a runway last month, demonstrating against the planned expansion of the airport.
