Call for tougher action against violent youths

Dewsbury MP Shahid Malik has called for harsher sentencing for violent young people, after a teenager was found murdered in a West Yorkshire park on Sunday.

Amar Aslam, 17, died after an attack in Crow Nest Park in Dewsbury. A 20-year old man and four young people aged between 12 and 15 have been arrested in connection with the murder. It is unlikely that the attack was race-related as three of the arrested youths are Asian, as was the victim.
