Child neglect ends in death

The mother and stepfather of a seven-year old girl, who is believed to have died of starvation, have been charged with neglect.
Kyra Ishaq died in hospital on Saturday and one theory being looked at by police is that she was starved to death. Kyra had been taken out of school 10 weeks ago by her mother. Angela Gordon, 33, and Junaid Abuhamza, 29, were both charged with neglect and have been remanded in custody until 28 May.
