Computer generated child sex abuse should be illegal

Computer-generated images and drawings of child sex abuse should be made illegal, according to Justice Minister Maria Eagle.

These plans would see owners of such images facing up to three years in prison. Under the Obscene Publications Act, it is illegal to own photos of child abuse, but it is legal to own drawings and computer-generated images of child abuse. Maria Eagle said that this proposed move would help to eliminate a loophole that it is believed paedophiles use.
