Tackling drugs week
[19th May 2008]
The Home Office led national Tackling Drugs Week starts today, to raise awareness about how local agencies have been tackling drug issues.
Local agencies, such as Drugs and Alcohol Action Teams (DAATs), Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships (CDRPs) Neighbourhood Policing teams and Police Forces, will run events to highlight how they've been working in local communities. They also aim to use the week to continue to tackle drugs and reduce drug-related crime in communities across the country. They will also be highlighting activities and services available in different communities.
