Teenager killed by police car

A 16-year old girl has been hit and killed by a marked police car in Newcastle.
The care was being driven down Denton Road on Monday night. It is not yet clear if the police car was responding to an emergency. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. An investigation is being carried out by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
